Collision at Cal

Expect the annual Joe Roth game to be pretty intense. The P-12 is in a situation that we haven’t seen in years – every team has at least 1 conference loss and you hesitate to say whether any team is out of contention (although Wazoo and the Buffs are in the 2nd division). Cal comes in after the first truly bad game of the season, with everyone going over how we mathematically win against the Dawgs if we don’t fumble. Thanks for stating the obvious. Turnovers kill. So do sacks. L.A. State has the most sacked QB in the P-12, can’t defend against the run, and is searching for some purpose for its season after 2 straight losses. Cal is “happy to be here” after last season and has won 7 straight against the Baby Bears in CMS. Even the crazy fat guy on College Game Day picked Cal, saying that we will score too many points. Let’s hope we will. Call it 42-28.

Them Utes are climbing the rankings after a gutsy OT win over them Beavs on the road – and thank goodness we have BYU instead of Utah on the schedule. ‘furd has a tough road test against the ‘devs which will further separate the Cards from any vision of the playoffs. Likewise the Dawgs could play spoiler upon spoiler against the Quacks but everything depends on the health of the O-line which seemed to do a better job last week in their Rose Bowl win.

Our Lady of the Touchdown can make a big statement against the Florida State Probation department. And Ole Miss could be ambushed by the Vols in a letdown game.
