Pairing Wine with Ducks and Bears

Sept. 21, 2013

The 2012 Cal-Oregon game was not a very happy one (although my dog Cody was featured as the pet of the week!). But hopefully you enjoyed some wonderful wine and duck pairings.

Last year, I highlighted intowine.com’s recommendations for the wines to pair with duck. The site suggested Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Syrah, Zinfandel and Sparkling Wine.

This year, I think we will need to be a little more aggressive with our wine pairings. Bottom line is that we need to come up with pairings that will ensure a Bear victory.

Perhaps this cartoon will help.

It’s completely up to you how you decide to interpret this 🙂

But I hope it helps us drink wine that will lead to a Bear victory and lead to our having a great day!

Cheers and Go Bears!
